And finally, kind Ladies and Gentleman who have returned to my blog as of late only to find it somewhat haphazardly abandoned, an explanation for my absence -
I have moved house!
I would be lying if I were to say that this move hasn't been an absolute PAIN IN THE TIT, but I have now been a resident of my new abode for exactly two weeks, and it is finally starting to feel like home.
And I could not be more in love with my new room.
As you may recall, I haven't had much luck this past year at Uni, and being stuck in a negative atmosphere with people I could do nothing to please did not help one little bit. For me, my old crappy flat was no home, it was just a place to store my belongings and a clothes-nest to clamber unconsciously into every now and again.
By early summer, it's safe to say I was panicking. Our tenancy was due to be up and my current house-dwelling humans had long since skipped merrily off to the estate agents together to find a place for next year, and it was becoming an increasing possibility that I was going to end up a bumbling homeless nomad, scouring the streets at dawn for a safe place to redirect my latest Boohoo order to.
But in the peculiar fashion in which my life seems to work out, at the very last minute, completely out of the blue a friend of a friend of a friend declared they were in urgent need for a new housemate and I jumped at the chance. I barely knew the boy, but from the handful of times I had spoken to him, I knew he was a bloody lovely human who exuded positivity, and that was good enough for me.
Little did I know how bloody lucky I was going to be.
After arranging a wee 10-min 7pm viewing of the house which resulted in us chatting for hours, staying for dinner then watching movies til 3am, I knew I had stumbled upon something absolutely wonderful, and one month and a hearty trip to Fleetville Vintage Emporium later - (THAT VICTORIAN TRAVELLING TRUNK THOUGH) - I am one bombastically happy resident of this wonderful house with some bloody lovely people.
Plus, I have a glistening, wall-mounted golden stag called Horatio watching over me so I don't get up to too much mischief, and if that's not the sign of a pretty decent room, then I don't know what is.
I have a whole host of wonderful news, stories, tales, photos and thoughts ready to go Ladies and Gentleman, so thank you for being patient, and I must say it's good to be back.
